Former US President Donald Trump has unveiled his latest NFT collection of the “MugShot” edition, in reference to his previous arrest.
Priced at $99 per digital trading card, the “MugShot” edition not only recaps Trump’s legal history, but also adds a new dimension to his past digital collectible efforts. Buyers who purchase 47 or more of these cards, in a nod to Trump’s possible return as the 47th president of the United States, will receive an exclusive dinner with Trump at Mar-a-Lago and a piece of the suit he wore during his arrest in August.

This new “MugShot” release has also sparked interest in the digital collectibles market, reigniting interest in Trump’s former NFT tokens, leading to a significant rebound in their market value.
“Just like baseball cards, but you can collect them digitally!” Trump NFT website wrote. “In this edition, some cards will be one-of-a-kind (the only ones in the world), while others could be hand-signed by President Donald J. Trump.”
In addition to the dinner with the former president, consumers who purchase 47 cards in a single transaction will receive a physical card containing a piece of fabric from the suit Trump wore when he was arrested, the same card that appears in his photo.
Presidential candidate says Trump doesn’t ‘understand’ cryptocurrencies
On December 12, Rep. Dean Phillips publicly criticized both President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump for their limited understanding of cryptocurrencies during the Presidential Cryptocurrency Forum.
As a Democratic candidate for the 2024 presidential election, Phillips acknowledged his gaps in knowledge about financial technology and digital assets, but pointed to a dearth of experience in Congress on these issues. He specifically highlighted the lack of understanding of current and former presidents, and emphasized the need for more enlightened leadership in the evolving digital asset landscape.
“The two leading candidates now, on the left and on the right, for president of the United States are in no position to understand this, prepare for it, anticipate it, and guide us into the next century,” Phillips said. “Joe Biden and Donald Trump, at their age and stage of life, are simply not the right people to lead us forward.”
According to a financial filing from August, Trump owns between $250,000 and $500,000 in digital assets. The $99 trading cards were released in December 2022.
